Sonam Dhondup
Sonam Dhondup, popularly known as Sodhon was born in Lhasa, Tibet. He is a self taught artist whose creative fluency could be seen not only in his contemporary oil and acrylic paintings but also in Tibetan comic books, illustrations in newspaper and magazine, and book designs.
In addition, he was also a studio art instructor and lecturer at the Sarah College in India for six years. He is amongst the first exiled Tibetans to initiate the Tibetan contemporary art movement in India. His work has been exhibited throughout India and abroad, some of the venues include: Tibet Museum, Colorado University Museum and Latse Contemporary Tibetan Cultural Library.
He currently lives in New York.
