Norbu
Norbu is a Painter based in Nepal
Norbu comes from a family of painters that can be traced back to 500 years. His family has been the sole artists of the little village in Dolpo where he was born. He is one of the most unique contemporary artists with regards to his unique fusion of Tibetan classical painting style and contemporary Dolpo Landscapes. He primarily works with water base medium on self-made canvases. Norbu has exhibited his works in Germany, France, United States, Nepal, and Switzerland. In addition, he has also opened the first school in his village, and part of his earnings support the school. He is also the sole illustrator of the children’s book Himalaya, which was to become a best seller in Europe. Currently he lives with his family in Kathmandu, Nepal.
